Your Best Age is Now (Feature)

your-best-age-is-now-tour-banner

Why do you write?
I enjoy writing because it allows me to express myself. I never really know what’s going to come out of me or through me. Writing allows me to be creative and communicate thoughts and ideas in a different way than when I communicate verbally. There’s also a meditative quality about writing that allows me to get silent and explore the more intellectual side of my personality.
What made you decide to sit down and actually start something?
When I have something I feel is important to say, that’s what usually motivates me to write an article or a book. If I never start the process, then I can’t say and communicate the ideas I want to put out there and share.
Do you write full-time or part-time?
I write part time, but whenever I have the chance to write, I write. I’m always writing something. I rarely go a week without writing, unless I’m traveling or on vacation. In addition to writing, I’m also a psychotherapist, national spokesperson for BabyCenter.com, relationship expert for Investigation Discovery’s show, Scorned and national TV commentator.
Do you have a special time to write or how is your day structured?
I tend to write during my off hours. I write at night, in the morning, and on the weekends. I need a silent space to write, so I usually write from my home, where I can control my writing environment.
Do you write on a typewriter, computer, dictate or longhand?
I write on a computer. It makes writing so much easier! I remember writing on a typewriter. It wasn’t fun! LOL
Where do your ideas come from?
My ideas come from my experience. Sometimes it’s a personal experience. Sometimes it’s based on a TV show I’ve done or been asked to comment about. Sometimes my ideas come from work assignments I have been given. But basically my ideas are always motivated and inspired by some aspect of my work or personal life.
What is the hardest thing about writing?
I think the hardest thing about writing is wanting my article or book to be perfect. The goal of perfection can be a bit daunting at times.
What is the easiest thing about writing?
I don’t know that there’s anything easy about writing. But for me, coming up with what I want to write about is usually the easiest part for me.
How long on average does it take you to write a book?
I would say approximately 9 months on average.
Do you ever get writer’s block?
There are times I really have no idea how I’m going to write a particular article or chapter, but I just end up taking action and seeing what happens. That’s usually the best way for me to proceed and I’ve found it to be pretty effective.
Any tips on how to get through the dreaded writer’s block?
Sometimes writers just need to take a break, sleep on the topic, and see if they get inspired. Then I think the best thing to do is to take action. Just see what comes out of you. Perfectionism can be the biggest enemy to writing, so when you take action, you’re breaking down your resistances and opening up the creative process.

Your Best Age is NOW
Although we’ve been conditioned to think “middle aged” is practically a four-letter word, the realities of women in midlife today are far different than what our mothers experienced. Women in their 40s, 50s, and even 60s are living younger, vibrant lives. But influenced by our youth-obsessed culture, we fear that when we hit midlife, we stop being relevant and no longer have options—that it’s simply too late for us.
Contradicting long-ingrained beliefs, Robi Ludwig draws on myth-busting data from scientific research and on her experience as a therapist to show midlife is not the beginning of our decline—it is actually a time to pursue our dreams. In Your Best Age Is Now, she offers specific advice on how to change our perception of this next life phase and make the best of it by:
  • Letting go of stress to create a more balanced life;
  • Identifying false thinking that is holding us back;
  • Taking charge of our love life and relationships;
  • Staying relevant in the workplace or starting new, exciting careers;
  • Becoming more spiritual and leading a life of gratitude; and more.
Your Best Age Is Now provides the guidance you need to reject the status quo, become more “you” than ever before, and find the kind of happiness you never thought possible.

An Exclusive Excerpt of Unorthodox Therapy

An Exclusive Excerpt of Unorthodox Therapy

Lina Riley, an inspiring leader of her software development company, is a lady of many strengths and one weakness. A skillful business negotiator, she pays the price of her success with long working hours and a bad smoking habit. It is the one battle this powerful woman just cannot seem to win.

To the world, Thomas Jett seems like the poster boy for nice, respectable guys. A talented programmer and a well-liked colleague, Jett does a good job hiding his secret. Little does anyone know about his dark, lustful side and intense domination urges. Lina has been his weakness and obsession ever since he first stepped into her office for a job interview. He also may be the right man to help her be stronger.

Thomas offers Lina a way to get over her addiction... but she'll have to fully submit to his authority. Could a woman like Lina surrender to her desires in the hands of a much younger man? Is she strong enough to give him her submission? Does Thomas have ulterior motives? How long can they stay on the edge before someone gets hurt?

EXCERPT 18+

I FELT LIKE SOMEONE had lifted the burden of the entire week from my shoulders. My mind was overfilled with emotions raging from relief to lust. Shame had no chance to creep in, but how could I put it all into words when my own body still dominated me, demanding release from the fire of my lust?

I hadn't realized my vision was blurred with tears until Thomas brushed his thumb below my eyelid and wiped them away. He stroked my cheek with a sympathetic expression and whispered,

“There's no need to say anything, Lina. You'll figure it out in the process. Just allow yourself to feel now.”

As if I had a choice. Feeling was all I could do. Every small brush over my skin triggered fire straight to my pussy; every whisper of his calm voice caressed my body like both feather and whip.

“Please, I...”

The switch flipped and Thomas’s personality shifted from kind to sadistic without warning. He tugged the leash and moved toward the staircase while I was still down on my knees.

“It's time we went upstairs for our training session, pet.”

I tried to get to my feet but Thomas shook his head, tutted and put a hand on my shoulder. He pushed me back to a kneeling position and spoke with a wicked grin.

“No, Lina, I want you to get in the mindset of what it's like to be a sub. Crawl for me, my pet and trust me to lead you.”

“This is demeaning.” I whimpered in weak protest.

He didn't say a word and kept walking, tugging my leash carefully. I didn’t have much of a choice except to do as Thomas commanded. Crawling on the staircase after my self-proclaimed Master on a tight leash was one of the most surreal experiences I’d ever had. My pride wept at the debasement but the sensations were riveting. He was walking without any sign of hesitation in his steps, and every once in a while he muttered what a good pet I was. Those words made my long suffering body and mind feel elated, as if I were floating during the act of surrender.

The next day, my flesh would be sore and stretched but today I was getting further past my inhibitions than ever. I felt brave, adventurous and too aroused to analyze the situation. All I could think at the top of the staircase was how my nipples were as heavy and filled with blood as if he’d restrained them with clamps.

Thomas led me into the kitchen and let my leash drop to the floor as soon as we reached the big round table. The room was so different to the peaceful, sunlit place I remembered from our discussion last Saturday. He had turned the lights off and everything was clouded by the soft velvet embrace of twilight. The only sources of illumination were two tall candlesticks whose small flames cast shadows over my face.

I had been too shocked to notice any small details last week but at that moment, all my senses were heightened. The fragrance of aromatic wax, probably cinnamon, made me tingle with expectation of the surprises Thomas had prepared for me. I closed my eyes to let the anticipation fully sink in and take control of me. Thus, I failed to notice the other objects on the table and yelped in surprise at the familiar bite of the clamps on my already engorged nipples.

“I remember you loved them.” Thomas laughed at my panic and slapped my ass playfully when he’d finished adjusting the clamps on my breasts. “Up on your feet now, pet.” He handed me a hair tie once I opened my eyes. “For the next part, tie your hair as tightly as possible. It would be in the way for what I have in mind. Bend over the table. Place your hands palms down next to your head. Spread your legs as wide as you can. I need full access to your pussy.”

“How long do I have to wait?” I moaned while I was tying my hair in a messy bun with shaking hands. The pain in my heaving breasts was the final straw, pulling me into an almost hallucinating state of arousal. “Thomas... Sir... I can't last. I need you so badly. I'm in so much pain. Please, spare me.”

“So do I, my pet.” He was hovering over me. He had taken off his pants and underwear and the tip of his throbbing cock nearly pressed against my ass cheek. Thomas was holding himself by the shaft and staring at me with intensity. “The week wasn't easy for me either.”

My skin was burning brighter than the flames of the candles lighting up my exposed, dripping flesh. This time, he didn't use any bondage on me save for the symbolic leash, but his steely willpower had me fully restrained. One look and an order with his calm voice and my body turned into a mess of pent-up lust.

A week of holding back added up as well.

“I'm scared,” I whispered, and in response, Thomas pressed my shoulder harder against the table.

“I know. Don't move an inch. If you change your position even slightly, the next step would be to have you wear a chastity belt for the next week.” The firm dungeon dominant had returned. The seriousness of his threat took its toll on my feverish brain.

“Yes, Master. Just, please, hurry up. I'm dying,” I whispered in a small voice, without recognizing myself.

“You're a good girl, Lina, but don't try to dictate my pace.”

Treasure Me, Alpha Four Book  1 Excerpt!

At the sound of the voice behind her, Sophie gasped and spun around, her free fist raised and ready to put up a fight, even more shocked at the sight of Rebel standing directly in her line of vision. In the heat of the moment, she wasn’t sure if it was paranoia or extreme fear – not that it mattered which one – but one or the other amped up her adrenaline and pretty much dictated her response. Without warning, her fist connected with his brick wall of a chest.
Not one word left his lips and he stood stoic, obviously not bothered in the least by her attack. Probably because her fist bounced off like a rubber ball. His lips curved into a smirk.
“Easy there, tiger.”
Ignoring his smooth, rich response and thigh-tightening smirk, she stood on her tiptoes, wrapped both hands around his equally-muscled shoulders, and shook him. Never mind that she couldn’t move the mountain in front of her.
“You scared me to death!”
With little effort, he peeled her fingers from his muscle, placed a hand to the small of her back and then led her to an annoying familiar vehicle parked at the curb; so much for avoiding a bodyguard. As if he’d done it a thousand times before, he opened the passenger door and then gestured at the seat.
“In.”
Although still somewhat shocked by the whole ordeal, she managed to find a tiny bit of resistance. She planted her feet on the curb and raised an eyebrow.
For a few seconds, they both stood stoic, engaged in a silent battle of wills. She had no idea just how stubborn he could be, but she knew her own stamina and had no intention of giving in.
“Get in the car, Sophie.”
Still, she stood immobile, her eyes narrowed, determined to wait him out. For several seconds, they simply stared at each other, gazes locked, each issuing a silent dare. Sophie didn’t care if her eyes caught fire, she would win this showdown. Finally, he released a hard breath.
“Please.”
She gave him what she intended to be a cheeky smile and entered the vehicle. He shook his head, closed the door, and then entered the driver’s side several seconds later.
“Are you always this difficult?”
“Always.”
He chuckled as he drove away from the curb and into traffic. “Where were you headed?”
“To my studio.”
“Normally, the tail needs that information.”
She shrugged. “Normally.”
“Good thing I was up early.”
“Luck.”
“You wish. I knew you wouldn’t follow instructions.”
“Really? What gave you that impression?”
“Your father didn’t tell you much about me, did he?”
“No.”
“Good thing.”
            “Why?”
“If the Senator had told you even half of what he knows about me, you wouldn’t have gotten in the truck.”
She swallowed hard – not out of fear like she probably should have, but to keep the twenty or so questions from escaping out of sheer intrigue. Apparently this man had deep dark secrets – ones she wanted very much for him to expose.
“That still doesn’t explain how you claim to have known I wouldn’t follow instructions.”
He moved his head toward the rearview mirror and then turned it to the front windshield. “I was an Army Ranger, a tracker to be exact. I’m trained to read people.” He turned and grinned. “I knew what you planned before you did.”
“Is that so?”
He simply nodded without hesitation, confidence oozing from every pore in his body. Oddly, the arrogance didn’t offend her. Instead, her mouth watered and her breasts tightened to the extent that she was sure her nipples might poke a hole in her blouse. She dabbed the corners of her mouth with her tongue. No sense letting him see her slobber all over him like a rabid dog.
“Okay then, O wise one, what do you suppose I’ll do next?”
He released another of those knee-weakening smirks and suddenly she wanted to kiss it off his face. Press her lips against his and nibble her way all around them until she literally swallowed him whole. As strong as she knew this man to be, there was absolutely no doubt in her mind that his kisses would be hard and dominating. In an attempt at self-control, she folded her arms across her chest and attempted to appear smug.
In what she dubbed an I’m-so-smooth manner, he changed lanes and then parked the vehicle next to a curb. “Now you’ll go inside your studio and explain to your assistant – Robert, if I remember correctly – why Mrs. Vanderbuilt’s painting wasn’t returned to your studio last night as planned.”
She turned and glanced out the passenger window at the scripted lettering on the building there. Treasure Me. Okay so he was exactly right.
She turned and raised an eyebrow. “Aren’t you coming along?”
“I was under the impression you didn’t want a bodyguard.”
“I don’t.” She reached for the door handle and pulled, annoyed when the door wouldn’t budge.
When she lifted her gaze to his and frowned, he snickered and then the click of the locks sounded in the silence.
“Five minutes,” he said.
She opened the door, stepped out and then glanced back at him. “Ten,” she said as she slammed the door on any further response.

Get the Love You Want and Become Irresistible to Him

Get the Love You Want

and Become Irresistible to Him

Certified relationship specialist, Lori Ann Davis shares her tips on how to get the love you want, and become irresistible to him. Let me know your thoughts in the comments section.

Remember when you were first together, and he couldn’t get enough of you? Remember how good it felt to know he wanted only you and was in love with you? The beginning of a relationship is wonderful with all the chemistry flowing and those “feel good” hormones racing through your body. Eventually though, we make it past the romantic love stage and have to learn how to continue getting the love we want and being irresistible to him! In long-term relationships, we are more in love with our partners at times and less in love with them at other times. In order to have an unstoppable relationship, we must work to keep the love alive. The most important thing for women in a relationship is to feel unconditional love. Even if we have a good relationship and feel secure, we still need and want reassurance

I am a relationship specialist, and I still find myself wanting reassurance. I have learned that when I am not happy with my relationship at the moment, I need to take a look at what is really going on. Just stopping and asking myself what I am upset about is the first step. I try to do this before I say anything to anyone else. The times when I don’t do this and immediately act on my feelings, communication breaks down and feelings can get hurt. I realize afterward that a negative situation could have been avoided if I had only taken some time to analyze my feelings and act on the real issue. I frequently find a feeling of not being a priority is what’s really underneath, which is really about not feeling loved. Now if I take this one step further, I may just find that my guy has done nothing wrong; he cannot read my mind after all. Instead of being upset with him or telling him what he did wrong, I find a way to get my needs met. What did he do today that showed me he loves me? Remember that we all feel loved in different ways. Maybe he did something that means love to him but may not be something I recognize as love.

I hear this frequently from clients. Our partners are more likely to show us love in the same way they feel loved. Now if you prefer other forms, it is okay to share some ideas with your partner on how you feel loved, but I would suggest you do this in a positive manner. Tell your partner want you DO want instead of what you don’t want. Remember to always let him know what he is doing right. This will make him feel successful, and he will want to do more of it. Our guys really do want to please us, especially if they feel appreciated. Remember that men compartmentalize in boxes and will spend time in the boxes they feel they are successful. They will seek out the boxes that work and ignore those that confuse them or make them feel like failures. The key to understand here is that men strive to be successful at everything. If they feel like they may not succeed, they tend to stay away from it. This can mean their relationships. A man will lose interest and quit trying if he feels he cannot please you. A man will not stay in love if he is not appreciated.

So let him know what he is doing right and give some suggestions on what else he could do to show his love. Men are not mind readers and do not always know what makes us happy. Sometimes it is just our need for more reassurance and unconditional love. The more you can accept love in different ways, the more loved you will feel. Women thrive on attention from their guys. Remember that we need to feel like we are a priority and that the relationship comes before anything else. When you are not feeling like a priority, what can you do that will bring about the result you want?

We just talked about needing unconditional love and reassurance of it often. We also need loyalty from our partners. This comes with feeling like we are loved and a priority. We want to feel like they would choose us all over again. We want to feel loved and cherished and beautiful. We need to feel emotionally connected to our partners. We want to be pursued and dated just like when we were first together. If you are not getting this in your relationship, it might be time to initiate some of it yourself. I know—most women would prefer that the man do the initiating, but keep in mind that people are attracted to partners who are responsible for their own happiness. We can suggest ideas to our partners, and for some couples this works really well. For others, they need to take the initiative in the beginning. The end result is what you are after. Create moments together that give you what you desire and also create moments that he enjoys. Let him know how much those moments mean to you and how happy they make you, and watch him start to initiate more of them in the future. Ultimately, though, it is the experience and the feeling of being loved that you are after, not how you got there. Remember that he wants to succeed, so set up situations where you both feel loved and appreciated.

There is nothing like the feeling of being in love and having butterflies in your stomach when you see your partner. It does take work in a relationship to keep those feelings alive, but it can be done, and it is so worth the effort. I want you to get up every morning feeling excited to be sharing your life with such a wonderful partner. The more you understand, appreciate and love him, the more he will appreciate and love you. You will get the love you desire, and you will become irresistible to him.
